They are singly responsible for scientific and manufacturing breakthroughs that revolutionized the industry, and for designing and manufacturing movements for the most prestigious houses in Switzerland. Even before the company began manufacturing watches under their own name in 1929, the horological triumphs of Antoine LeCoultre and the LeCoultre & Co. atelier were many and varied. The company’s legacy was already well established when the holding company of Jaeger-LeCoultre was established in 1925 in conjunction with Edmond Jaeger. In 1929 the company announced the smallest watch movement ever: the calibre 101 (it remains the world's smallest mechanical movement to this day). Fixed 18K Rose Gold bezel concave curved lugs. Automatic movement, power reserve up to ± 45 hours. Displays a Anthracite dial with applied luminous Arabic numerals and dart indexes, luminous fill Rose Gold alpha hands, luminous fill red tip arrow center hand, red and white dot markers, minute chapter ring at outer rim. Bi-directional rotating flange with 60 minutes immersion scale in white. Outer revolving disc for the decompression times, fan-form aperture for alarm indication and date aperture. Alarm winding crown at 2, time-setting and winding crown at 4, both with Compressor Key, winding crown at 10 for the revolving dive timing disc. Scratch resistant Sapphire crystal, caseback. With the alarm feature, triple crowns for revolving chapter ring, alarm setting, Outer revolving disc for the decompression and time, it is the perfect watch. This one is encased in a 18K Rose Gold Case with a Anthracite Dial which is magnificent.— JLC is one of the few elite Swiss watchmakers who manufacture their own movements in house. They are highly regarded for their quality timepieces, technical innovation, and one of the most stringent and fanatical testing centers in Switzerland. Beautifully done, exquisite timepiece, making this an incredibly engineered and crafted wristwatch. Jaeger-LeCoultre....The watch has an outstanding alarm system operated by the top right crown, with an Alarm Indicator on left side of the dial. Winding, Time & Date Setting Functions are set by the bottom right Crown. The Crowns are equipped with an External Butterfly Collar that turns 1/2 turn clockwise & counter clockwise (independently of the Crown), each Collar has Red & White enamel indicating Arrows. White Arrow indicates the Crown is secure/Water Resistant, Red Arrow indicates the Crown is non-secure/not Water Resistant. When the collar is in the secure position it compresses a gasket that ensures water resistance..
